First Edition – Alpenblumenmärchen, 1922. The "Alpine flower tales" of Swiss fairytale artist, Ernst Kreidolf, as told in poems about each variety of flower, accompanied by eighteen whimsical color illustrations. According to the Smithsonian's catalog info for their copy of the book, the poems within recount the "woodland adventures of two acorn children" through a land of flower people. 

 

Text in German. Published by Erlenbach-Zurich: Rotapfelverlag, 1922. First edition. 40 pgs, half bound in green bookcloth and illustrated paper, measures approx. 12.75" W x 10.3" H x 0.3" D. Former owner inscription on title page c. 1948. Good condition, with a few things to note – paged tanned, some marks and light spots to covers and pages,  inner hinge of front endpapers torn.
