First issue of this super rare trade magazine, with sections for each type of clothing (suits, sportswear, millinery, handbags, etc.) each directed by a board made up of heads of the industry. Huge, with fantastic fashion coverage. Features cover by Erwin Blumenfeld, New Look-style fashions from Dior, Adrian, Fira Benenson, Madame Grès, Jacque Fath, and Hattie Carnegie, fashion photography by Fernand Fonssagrives and Henry Clarke, illustrations by Bernard Blossac, fabric swatches, and more. Kaleidoscope was only produced for a short time due to the high cost of the high quality production, and cost $24 a year at the time to subscribe - the equivalent of approximately $250 a year today. Scarce, with no copies of the magazine on WorldCat or for sale online.
