Penélopé, of maandwerk aan het vrouwelijk geslacht toegewijd, 1829. Title translates to "Penelope, or the monthly work dedicated to the female sex. Second part of Volume VD of the Dutch women's periodical written by Anna Barbera van Meerten, with a section of instructional lectures on womenhood, and a section of tutorials for handwork projects for household goods and accessories. Six beautiful hand-colored engravings of projects and instructions on their construction include: a decorative souvenir pyramid, a work basket, a container for the wax threads for a table lamp, a pin cushion, a sautoir necklace, and more. Several are large-size fold-out engravings.

 

222 pgs, measures approx. 8.75" H x 5.15" W x 0.5" D. Very good condition – some wear to corners, edges and spine, a few spots and areas of light discoloration, light rippling to some pages. See images for reference, and feel free to email for further information.
