The World of Balenciaga, 1973. Catalog from the memorial exhibition for famed Spanish fashion design Cristóbal Balenciaga, put on a year after the designer's death by the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in conjuction with the Ministry of Commerce of Spain. The catalog is a celebration of all things Balenciaga, from his daywear to designs for royal weddings, and includes essays in both English and Spanish by Diana Vreeland, Gloria Guinness, Pauline de Rothschild, and more.
